Money Smart Month of Greater Kansas City 2012 Poster Contest!

Sponsor:  American Century Investments & Junior Achievement of Middle America, Inc.

Eligibility: 1st Through 3rd Grade Students.

Prize: One first place winner per grade level will be selected to receive an award of $100, and be recognized in conjunction with the 2012 Money Smart of Greater Kansas City campaign. Second and third place winners in each grade level will receive $75 and $50 awards respectively.

Rules:

  •  Each contest entry (“Entry” or, collectively “Entries”) must be submitted or postmarked by April 16, 2012.
  •  Entries must be created by students in first, second or third grade (“Entrants”) to be eligible to participate.
  •  Entrants should demonstrate knowledge of the selected financial concept(s) through their submission.
  •  Only one Entry may be submitted per Entrant.
  •  Teacher signature and completed application form (below) are required.
  •  All Entries must be created on this blank entry poster and must be wholly original, hand-created art work.
  •  Entries will be judged by representatives of American Century Investments and Junior Achievement (the “Sponsors”).
  •  The decision of the Sponsors will be final and based on their sole and ultimate discretion.
  •  The Sponsors may at their sole and ultimate discretion disqualify any Entry or Entrant at any time.

Submission Guidelines:

  •  Submissions must be hand drawings that are the original work of the student (no computer generated images allowed).
  •  The chosen concept(s) should be included at the top of the poster in a clear and easy to read format.
  •  Submissions should be on completed on the 11×17 paper provided.
  •  Any materials can be used to illustrate the concepts, as long as they are permanently attached.
  •  Horizontal or vertical artwork may be submitted.
  •  Minimal text is recommended.
